I really love most of what life has to offer! I enjoy sharing a smile with a complete stranger, offering assistance to the unsolicited, and / or simply taking time to "smell the roses". I've been a veterinarian since May 2000 and have really enjoyed the ride. After a few years in private practice in both Arizona and Tennessee, I decided I needed 'a little more' and came back to the University of Tennessee for a combined graduate / residency program. I just started the 2nd year of a 3-year residency in small animal surgery and couldn't be more excited! I've been working on my PhD for the last 4 years and have really enjoyed being where I'm happiest .... working daily with students and all the little critters ;) I hope to stay here at UT to perform and teach orthopedic surgery at the UT College of Veterinary Medicine. WOW .... what a dream come true.
