About Me

Growing up in rock-bound copenhagen in the 1990s was difficult. Not difficult in the "I cant believe im here today despite all the obstacles"- bullshit but more like "Red hair skinny kid, sporting rave hair" difficult. And this was the rich-but-still-street part of town, so as far as girls, I had to fight better dressed skaters who were just getting into graffiti. I was techno, so I had to wear tight, black clothes (NOT the indie kind, but with eagles and stuff on it) and baggy jeans on a board seemed like an unstoppable force. Did I mention I used to rollerskate back then. We didnt get any girls AND we got beat up at the skate park. So I found myself getting more and more into the music that alienated me from the rest of the world. At the Trekroner party in 1992 I met Frederik, furthermore known as 2000F and we decided that creating a track together would be a really good idea. During this time I also discovered that a techno record shop was soon to open about 50 metres from my school!YAY! I walked by there eeevery day and the psychedelic flyers, carefully covering the filthy windows had to be an omen of better times to come.... Then one day, I walked by and the door was open!! Today it would have been one of those balkan clubs, a nasty cellar store, but back then, it was like a moldy asbestos heaven. I carefully peaked downstairs and caught the glimpse of what I found out to be Copenhagens TECHNO GOD!! Foreign looking, a flashy beard that went like a string from his chin to his lip, black doc marten safety boots, like mine and tight, black clothes (fuck yeah!!...no I was not in love). After two months of me spending all my time in Marcels maximum record store, he offered me a job. All I had to do was watch the store all day and I would get paid 2 WHOLE RECORDS!! I sold around 3 records total, working there about 10 days (actually the same record 3 times, the one with the zebra cover, trance-like? oh well)Well, back to the track. Frederik, Jones of Deutsche club and me made two tracks. One hardtrance and one acid and decided to take it to Marcels (there he was again!!) new label, STP Stranger than paradise records. His office was the backroom of the record store and besides an old madras(moldy yes), it had a really tiny cassette player for us to play the demo on. Never really knew what happened after this, but this was the first two tracks I ever did.....I dont feel like writing anymore, but me and Frederik continued to make music with the bass snatchers (jazz, electronic and so on). I then started to produce som tracks of my own, still closely connected to ohoi...
