Centro Cultural Batidão

A couple of years ago Dago and some friends created a clothes brand/store called Generics. After almost a year with the store being sacked by Vila Madalena rivals, he asked Du if he wanted to join him into a extravaganza every thursday. Free admission, cheap drinks and a series of excelent guests like Teenage Fanclub, Lulina, CSS (when for us was still Cansei de Ser Sexy) and others generated the buzz. After a final party(with CSS literally breaking the floor) the owner of the house decided to cut our party and shut the store down. Without a house but as Centro Cultural Batidão, they started to do some remixes and to DJ in some other places which resulted in suffering some hostility from hardcore indies around Sao Paulo.After some time, Gui (from Peligro), got a new home for our parties at Milo Garage and again, the laptops started to burn a weird mix of whatever they wanted to make people listen. Ignoring all requests of Smiths, and writting in cheap leds visors that "we play what we want, go home if you don't like", their aura was created.Mixing weird remixes, with old school hip hop, playing brand new tracks sent by MSN by Diplo and making jaws falling apart... CCB is still the Flavor(yeah with capitals in honour to Flav) of the month.Check them at Milo every thrusday when Eduardo isn't traveling, or if you're lucky enough in one of their rare gigs outside Sao Paulo.
