Seonaid Aitken is a violinist, traditional fiddler, vocalist, pianist and composer from Scotland. In 2008 Seonaid took her solo show to the seas as a headlining act onboard the luxury cruise lines Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises having signed an exclusive contract with the Las Vegas-based entertainment agency Nite Raiders . Seonaid will continue performing with Celebrity Cruises in 2009 in addition to making her debut as a guest entertainer with Princess Cruises .
Seonaid has also performed throughout the world as the lead with the International touring dancing violin show Barrage , as a singer and Irish fiddler at Tokyo DisneySEA , Japan, and she regularly plays as a classical violinist with the Scottish Opera . She has over 10 years of experience as a professional recording artist (violin, fiddle, vocals and arrangement) and has recently finished her debut album entitled 'Souvenir' which combines all of her musical talents.

Last year in Las Vegas, Seonaid completed a residency at Dixie's Dam Country Bar as a fiddler and singer in ‘The New Country Strings’, a 4-girl country fiddle act from the creators of Barrage, performing alongside ‘Scotty Alexander and the Smok’n Nashville Band’. She returned there this year to perform in the Las Vegas Convention Centre at the International CES 2009 for Toshiba.
Seonaid trained in violin and piano at both the junior department of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music Honours degree.
Her television credits include performances aired on the BBC, CBC, PBS, and Bravo! networks as well as appearing alongside Colin Mockrie in the Walt Disney film ‘A Magical Gathering’. She can also be heard and seen on the CD and the DVD of Barrage: 'Vagabond Tales' (Swath Publishing).
