Jason Leavitt

I am a single DAD with two beautiful sons ages 14 and 6. They are the love of my life and mean the world to me. Aside from being a father, playing and writing music, watching my kids play sports and coaching their sports are my passion. I love to be involved in everthing that they do. I have been a musician since the age of 8 years old and have been in numerous successfull rock and hard rock bands around OHIO through the years. I have been blessed to have shared the stage with over 30 national acts over a 15 year period including the likes of ACE FREHLEY of KISS, LYNARD SKYNARD, PAUL ROGERS of Bad Company & Queen, JACKYL, QUIET RIOT 2 times, LYNCH MOB, DOKKEN, GREAT WHITE three times , LA. GUNS three times , SLAUGHTER, SEBASTIAN BACH of Skid Row, UNION Bruce Kulick of KISS and John Corabi of The Scream, Motley Crue & Ratt 2 times and that is just to name a few. I am currently involved in the project SHINING EAST a Christian based hard rock metal band where I wrote all of the music and played drums, rythym guitar, bass and back up vocals on the upcoming CD LIGHT OF DAY & I also wrote 90% of the lyrics. Longtime friends and bandmates Steve Ferry (vocals) and Kevin Bell (Lead guitar) also appear on the upcoming CD. We are shooting for a summer release date. Another project I am currently involved in is IN 4 RED a gothic vampire based project that I did just for fun. Everything you hear on the IN 4 RED recordings are me. Vocals,bass guitars and drums. I am shooting for a summer release date for this project also. I am also a member of the 80's rock cover band HIGH STRUNG but I am currently on injured resrerve recovering from major back surgery where I had 6 screws and 2 titanium rods put in. Not exactly sure when I will be ready to play drums again??? Hopefully soon!! Last but not least another hard rock/metal recording project I am involved in is called RUSTED SOUL. I play only drums in this project along with instrumental guitarist DON HARRIS, bassist CARL BUKEY and vocalist Steve Ferry. That is a short summary of a life filled with way too much drama.
