Everyone should know that I am very vocal and passionate about the genocide happening in Darfur. I am outraged by all the oblivous people and the lack of news coverage. I am sadded to think of all the people that everyone just seems to forget about. It makes me sick to hear people say that It isnt our problem to stop the genocide. And my question to them is whose problem is it then? Are we really going to play that game of who is responsible for the mess in this situation? People are dying. Children are being murdered. Ripped from their homes and families. Are we just going to act like it's not happening? It amazes me how Rosie O'Donnel and Donald Trump get more attention and news coverage over a dispute their in, then what's happening in Darfur. People care more about Britney Spears parenting skills, or the latest way Botox is available to them. It makes me absolutely sick. Do something to help. Everyone can help. Tell a neighbor or a friend, or co-worker or teacher. Anyone. Your mailman or the grocery store clerk. The more people that know, the better the situation will become. We can not just stand by and let this happen. People act as if genocide ended and begun witht he Halocaust. If you had the chance, wouldnt you have helped end that? This is no different. A different time with a different set of people. Lets end this now and not look back years from now and go "well I didn't know."
