Dee Planche

About Me

"This is a girl who can caress a song, who can have fun, who can wail.. who can roar... who can tenderly whisper her often complex lyrics in your ear...and more...and when she's through, you'll know that you've encountered a real person". - Terry Hatty, The Guess Who.
"Dee is very good at bringing out a deeper, rougher side when the song requires it while not losing the smooth, lilting aspects of her voice...I find that the all songs feel very graceful and effortless, whether they be ballads or more rock driven songs". - Iwona Szkudlarek, The Alder Fork.
Dee Planche is a distinctive new voice in the Canadian music scene. Hailing from Mississauga, she is breaking into the fertile Toronto independent music scene. With the 2009 release of her long-awaited debut album “Flesh & Bone”, this vibrant singer-songwriter is showcasing her captivating, lyric-based pop/rock songs and moody electronic hooks. With her band “The Raunch” Dee has a hard-hitting, exciting vehicle for her stunning vocal work.
Randy Starr (Dayvid, Monday Rose), a guitarist who became the first member of her touring unit. The two began playing live shows and making waves around the Toronto music scene, and eventually a full band came together. Drummer David MacDougall (Stephanie Martin, George Meanwell, Donovan Woods), a recording and touring professional, indie scene mainstay bassist Jason Haberman (The Paint Movement), and gifted keyboardist Jordann Zaza make up “The Raunch.”
