About me? Well I was born in Montclair, New Jersey in 1965. When I was seven my parents decided suburban living was not for them and moved to northern Vermont where they raised dairy goats, heated with wood and changed just about every aspect of their previous lives.
I attended Northfield Mount Herman boarding school in Massachusetts for my junior and senior years in high school, where I rowed on the varsity crew team and the spark of adventure began to burn. From NMH I moved to Boston and received my bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Boston University.
In 2004 I married my beautiful wife Amy in Akumal, Mexico.
Following my desire for intellectual and physical stimulation, I have worked as a bike courier, Chief Engineer in the television industry, programmer, SCUBA instructor, and aquarist.
I am the Diving Safety Officer for the New England Aquarium, where I dive in the aquarium's largest exhibit - the Giant Ocean Tank - feeding the exhibit's 700+ inhabitants. www.neaq.org
From wrangling sharks to smuggling dog food and satellite dishes into Cuba via boat, from skydiving to trekking deep into the jungle of the Amazon, from running the DoubleG, my 34' Downeast powerboat through towering swells out of Nantucket, to rebuilding a 2000 sq ft space in an old factory building into a home, my quest for adventure and experiences have provided a deep well from which I ink my stories.
