Kenny P, born Kenneth Pruitt, is the C.E.O. of his own independent label, A1 Entertainment. Born in Alabama, but having grown up in the poverty stricken projects of Cincinnati, he was no stranger to the hustle and the grind of the streets. His trials and tribulations moved him to bring his story to life........through music. Thus, he began writing in 1995. He soon discovered those same ghetto tales could not only tell his life story, but potentially become his claim to fame. With little to no help, staying true to the game, he set out to make things happen for himself. In 1996 he began distributing his own tapes and CDs. He has successfully put out over 6 projects..3 nationwide. The latest album ..Time to Floss.. (Produced by K-Riley) can be heard worldwide on the web. His songs are REAL..speaking on everything from the streets to relationships. His slick metaphors and punch lines dazzle his listeners all while bringing cunning word play and street slang to move the crowd..IT IS WHAT IT IS.. Twista...A hustler in his own right, Kenny P, gained a solid local presence by doing performances and selling albums from the trunk of his car. in the first week of its release. It was soon picked-up by Arc Distributers-in Cincinnati, OH. which aided Kenny P's development not just locally but regionally aswell. In 1998 Kenny P released Puttin It Down, on his own record label A-1Entertainment and once again it out sold every other local rap artist in the tri-state area labeling him The King of Cincinnati. Kenny P's music can be heard across the airwaves on over a thousand radio stations, some of which are Radio One Affiliates that keeps him in the mix.
