Influences: Leonard Cohen, Damien Rice, John Mayer, Nick Drake, Beck, Bob Dylan, Nick Cave, U2, my morning jacket, and Pearl JamThe poetry of Mina Loy, Tom Raworth, Leonard Cohen, Rimbaud, and definitely Reginald Shepherd. all detrimental influences. by that i mean, their writings are so perfect, it's hard to shake the shadows of such a cannon.the scores of Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Finding Nemo, etc.) are gorgeous. Same can be said for much of Debussy's body of work (Check out "De l'aube a midi sur la mer").the album that changed my life, you ask?A: The Verve's Urban Hymns. Essential listening...absolutely imperative. it's a record for all of us who aim to write songs with the lone acoustic guitar yet hear the potential for so much more.
Sounds Like: the melody between the spaces
Type of Label: None
