............New York or Bust! A risk all journey of 800 miles to New York City was not a small step for this multi-gifted Chicago Artist. Leaving behind Illinois with only that faith, several hundred dollars of savings, and a used car full of minor belongings. Determine with the might of 1,000 pure-breed Arabian horses in one; this singer, songwriter, arranger, producer, performer is ordained to ride into history to touch millions with his sensual heart-felt music. One heart, one soul, one voice, one man. He was raised from modest beginnings in Kankakee, IL. Living in an area of gang violence, drugs, and peer pressure seemed to spiral the child into a point of bitter anger. With all the foul ingredients to go down the wrong road, was there anything he could turn to for happiness? At age seven, little did Airian know that his world would be changed. One day discovering his mother's crate of old 12†vinyls and cassettes, Airian was then introduced to the R&B/ Soul of legendary artists he now admires such as: Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Ronald Isley, The Temptations and Michael Jackson. Connecting with the Motown sound, Airian found within himself comfort unlike none he ever known. It allowed him to create his own world where he could escape from his reality. It’s was God’s plan that music that changed his life. As a teenager, in Rich East High School, he participated in a music program that allowed him to studied music theory, music composition and receive vocal training. He played alto sax in band, jazz vocalist/tenor sax with jazz band ensemble, and was leading 1st tenor in school gospel choir. Airian gained respect and admiration for his musical endeavors at school functions, house parties, talent showcases, and park jams. He found music help him build his confidence, self-esteem and strong character. After early graduation from high school at age 17 he left home. He rented an apartment with fellow musician friends in Chicago Heights, IL. Airian began to see it was time to do something to better for himself. His roommates encouraged him to further his music education. He was then referred by a friend to Dr. Rev. Lena McLin, a famed classical composer and former vocal instructor of Chicago’s own R. Kelly. He seriously studied a form of classical voice training called Bel Canto developed by Dr. Rev Lena McLin. After receiving Lena McLin’s blessings as a gifted artist, Airian passionately set out to conquer all he felt was rightfully his. Now as a New York Area resident, Airian wants to represent and voice a new generation of youths. Airian calls his art form Sens-U-Soul Music. Music that is intimate yet soulful. It connects on a physical, conscious, and emotional level sensually while reaching your soul subliminally to spiritually heal, inspire, and enlighten one through soulful sounds. It is Airian's dream to inspire, evolve, and voice the lives of many through his gifts. Along with his professionalism, charity, and humane actions, he is ready to bring the Sens-U-Soul music that will establish his own niche. Like the artists he admires; Airian has aspirations of being a musical icon, but above all an honorable a GOD- fearing man! His name will forever be remembered as Airian Cook...
