About Me

Peach Brandy was formed in February 2003. It all started at the foot of Bass Mountain in North Carolina with a jug of peach brandy. After we got warmed up on the inside we began to warm up our instruments. We saw right away that we had something good happening. Pretty soon we booked our first gig, a freebee at a local music store. We played the only ten songs we knew at the time. We played many shows and drank many jugs of peach brandy together since then. We tended to cater more to a good ole' rock crowd. With shows at Easyriders Biker Rodeo, Davis Harley Davidson of Burlington, Charlie Riley Memorial Ride, The Carousel Festival, The Place, Roadhouse 54, The Blue Gator, Riders in the Country, Hambones, Tailgaters, Zone 154, Chumleys, Greensboro Jaycees Ribfest, etc. But now that Peach Brandy is a thing of the past, that brings me to our next subject. My name is Jeff Brown. I'm 43 years old and I believe my life's direction was set in stone when I was 4 years old when I played my first Elvis record. I've been hooked on music ever since.I have worked behind the scenes in the music industry as a lighting designer and sometimes monitor engineer since 1985. Then in 1996, I bought a $3.00 harmonica in the key of c at a local music store and the first song I learned to play was Billy Joel's Piano Man. About 1 year later I was actually on stage playing with a band. It was the most fun I've ever had with my clothes on. Since then I've jammed with many bands from all over the country. The Steelhorse Band, Eric Brooke, Toyz, Jive Mother Mary, Lynn McGee & the Monarchs, Mason Lovette Band, Beneath the Wheel, The Bryan Windsor Band and Magic Red and the Voodoo Tribe just to name a few.I like to play different styles of music. It could be blues, country, rock, beach, r&b. It doesn't matter to me as long as it has room for harmonica, I'll fit it in. And don't forget to always support local live music whenever you can. Hope to see ya at a show sometime.
