Follow your heart and your dreams...not what other people think you should do

About Me

For those of you that do not already know me, my name is Joe. Most people call me Big Joe. I guess what people like most about me is that I am not a fake person. I show you who I am and if you do not like it that is your loss. I love making people laugh and when people are down I to make them feel important and worth more than they think they are at the moment. People love me for what I do for them I LISTEN to people whatever they want to say of get off their chest. I am there for my best friends and for the complete strangers. I love to offer my services to anyone in need and I am always willing to drop whatever I am doing to lend a helping hand. My life has been definitely been through some ups and downs. My life early on was for the most part pretty good until my freshman year in High School. This is when my mother and I got hit by a drunk driver. After this accident my mother was never the same surgery after surgery she still fought hard and did everything for me. My senior year on January 4th her battle had finally ended. I so upset with my parents being divorced and I did not know where I was going to go. My dad lived in San Francisco and I did not want to leave my school with only a few months left. Well families step in and I was able to graduate with 3.86 GPA and a lot of people doubted me. Out of high school I signed with Duke University to play football for the Blue Devils. I thought this was going to be a definite up in my life. I was wrong. After a year there I was not happy with the coaches or the program so I left and went to Arizona Western College to get re-recruited.Going to Arizona Western was the happiest decision I have ever made. I recently graduated from Arizona Western College with Associate’s Degrees in both General Studies and Business. While attending AWC I played football where I was named in the “Street and Smith” Magazine as a Super Sophomore. After starting all 10 games I received first team All-Region and All-Section Honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association. I just recently accepted a Full Athletic Scholarship to play for New Mexico State University.
