..MYSPACE SOUND OF THE WEEK Gary Allan!!!As most of you know I am a strong supporter of Songwriters...Musicians...Great Music!!!!
I have been asked by several music lovers to have a space to profile new acts...old acts...great music by having a contest every week to profile new songs, groups, etc....
I have been toiling with this idea and the folowing was born today as a way to accomplice this!!!
I will have a contest every week to see who will have their music profiled every week on all my spaces and give music lovers and acts a way to have their sound the sound of the week!!!!
The rules....
Rule 1 Major rule!!!!!: Follow all myspace rules..otherwise I will delete you and you will not be able to be featured on the site unless you change whatever rule you are breaking!!!
Rule 2... This must be your original material..or you must have the rights to use the songs on your profile....Anyone breaking this rule will never be able to come back!!! I am a stickler for this one!!! People work hard on there art and I do not want others taking credit for someone elses work!!! This is lieing, cheating and stealing and I will not TOLERATE It!!!
Rule 3....GOLDEN RULE....Treat others as you would like to be treated...You may not agree with a selection or may not even like the sound...This is your perogative and right...However no slamming!!! In the comments you can voice your opinion...but please try to be constructive!!!
Rule 4...Have FUN!!!!! That is what we all should strive for...if you are unhappy take it to www.unhappy.com...or www.mylifeis miserableandiwantyoutobealso.com ....Life's too short...get a new attitude dude and dudettes!!!!!
Rule 5 ...Submissions...Submit original work...tell me why you think you sould be sound of the week (ie. going on tour...new cd release...I like myself..I love my sound..I think I am the best..whatever...just why!!); Please include all information about the band ( member names, a short biography on the band, sound and song) Please tell me which song you would like to have profiled...Include this sentence..I , state your name, give permission to use my song for the myspacesoundoftheweek, I state your name, have the right to give this permission. You must also be a friend of this myspace acct.... You do not have to be a friend of my other myspaces..however that may not hurt!!
Tell all your fans, friends ,and other band about this site!!
More rules may be posted soon, however at this time this is all I ask!!!

The first winner will be announced May1st...the deadline for submissions will be April 29th
The songs will be announced Mondays at 9am...the winners of the week will be notified The Sunday prior to posting.the deadlines for submissions will be 11:59 pm Saturday night..unless we find a better way this is how it will be done!!!
