For myself if no one else, I feel the need to stop here and to quote one of my favorite songwriters and someone I have the great good fortune to call a friend in even the smallest, humblest sense,
Jon Dee Graham....because the motto at JonDeeCo is quite brilliantly:
"FALSE HOPE IS STILL HOPE."
THANKS JON DEE!!!
And Remember That, boys and girls, when the going gets rough.
Thanks, Jon Dee, for all the reminders of the
Luminous Hope & Love there are in the World
If we Just Pay Attention.

To the martyr spirit
of Pancho Villa
Great Revolutionary General
In the Name of God our Lord I invoke the spirits that they protect you so that you may help me. As well as you helped the NEEDY in the earthly world. As well as you conquered the POWERFUL. This I request of you your spiritual protection, so that may free me of all evil and you give me the necessary spirit and sufficient valor to confront the most difficult things that are presented to me present in this life. Amen
I LOVE what Dave Alvin has called AMERICAN MUSIC: blues, roots, R&B, vintage sounds, rockabilly, Americana and twang. Some of my favorites...the aforementioned Alvin, Curtis Salgado, Kim Wilson, Keb Mo, the Hacienda Brothers.........
Don't email me here if you want a prompt response. Real-life friends should email me at my aol account!
My friend Curtis Salgado (and one of my favorite artists -
a FABULOUS soul-blues singer from Portland, Ore.) got his much-needed, Miraculous, life-saving liver transplant on Sept. 30, 2006.
He's doing great and is back to work performing, but still needs financial assistance to help pay all the bills...if you want to help,
Donations can be made for the "Curtis Salgado Fund"
at any US Bank or can be mailed to:
US Bancorp, 2550 NW 188th Avenue, Hillsboro, OR 97124
