I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 The brainchild of French guitarist Yves Mesnil and London-based flautist Teymour Housego, YVES MESNIL TRIO opens a new chapter in world jazz. Mellow yet intense, its music takes the listener on an entrancing journey through the ragas of northern India, the rhythms of Africa and the harmonies of jazz.They first performed their music while on tour with Asian Underground outfit Earthtribe during the summer of 2003. Following a live performance on the BBC's Asian Network, presenter Adil Ray described them as 'the best live act' to have entered his studio thus far.They have since performed in several prestigious venues in France and England such as Momo's and St Mary's Church in London, the Recital Room at the Leeds College of Music, and the Satellit-Cafe in Paris. They have also been featured on the French radio station Radio Aligre.
