Circadian Rhythms

About Me

Circadian Rhythms are the premier event organisers for Auckland's gothic and industrial communities. Since February 2003, Circadian Rhythms has organised regular monthly functions, emphasising the importance of diverse music and an environment that is friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Each month uses a different artist as its focus, running the gamut of international gothic, industrial, and experiment musical forms. In this time, Circadian Rhythms have also played host to a number of live acts from around New Zealand and abroad: Resurrection Eve, Pulchritude, Jakob, The Magdalene, Stars and the Underground, N.U.T.E, The Mercy Cage, Gydja, The Syndicate, Clear Stream Temple, Dr Kevorkian and the Suicide Machine, Nitzer Ebb, The Shudder Club, and Baitercell.
The music played at Circadian Rhythms mirrors the diversity inherent within the gothic and industrial subcultures, including everything from trad, ethereal and electro goth, to old schol ebm, futurepop, contemporary harsh ebm, and just good old fashioned industrial. And not forgetting the neo-folk, dark ambient, ritual, experimental, and neo-classical side of things either. Setlists and images from all our past events are available in the archives section of the Circadian Rhythms site.
