DJ Blade was born with a drive and determination instilled in him. His passion for music came into full effect in 1994 where he did a five-minute set at a party in which he played “Bring the pain†by Method Man. From that moment on he knew music was going to become a big part of his life. He started off playing high school and college football before letting music take over as his passion. The energy that he used on the field to prove to people that he can play ball was later put on to the one’s and two’s. It was at this point that DJ Blade realized that music and being a disc jockey was really his calling.As time progressed he has improved not just his musical input but also his productivity output. He has done several parties across the New York Tri-State area, as well as putting out a variety of mix tapes to help market and promote the well-rounded DJ that he is. To help increase his creativity levels, and to work on the process of becoming a great audio engineer and improve his sound as a mixtape and club DJ he attended IAR (Institute of Audio Research). He soon started a mix tape series entitled Street Musik, simply just to bring the new music out to the people in the streets that want to hear it. Now that the music business is saturated with mixtape DJ Blade took another leap and started producing beats for a lot of up & coming artist in the street of NY.
