Music:
I am one of those people who finds inspiration in music. That's probably because i'm completely non-musical myself, and find that skill highly desireable. If I could change one thing about myself, I wish I could play an instrument or sing. As it is, I just make a fool of myself at karaoke. Music I like depends on the mood. For going out dancing, I like anything with a good beat. Some of my favorites: Trance, Techno, Hip-Hop, Top 40, even some country. I'm not a huge fan of Rap, but I must admit, there are some catchy tunes out there.
Movies:
Movies are a big part of my life. It's a great escape to watch a movie. My favorites are action/adventure, sci-fi, some horror flicks, and comedy. I have friends who are directors, editors and producers and there is so much skill and artistry involved in actually making a movie. Every film angle and shot tells a story differently, so picking the right one can completely make or break a scene. Then gluing them all together to make a watchable film really is an amazing feat. So, what are some of my favorites? Well, ask me sometime.
Television:
Sadly, I enjoy reality tv. Although, it's not really reality... it's more what the editors want you to think. It's mindless entertainment. My other favorite genre is crime and science drama. I love CSI, House, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS. I also enjoy Lost, Survivor, Naruto, hmmm, I guess I watch a lot of TV. Thankfully, i have a Tivo like device, so i can record it all and watch it without the commercials when i have free time.
Books:
I love to read when I have free time. Here are some authors I like: Terry Pratchet (discworld), Stephen King, Dan Brown (the Davinci Code), Neil Stephensen (Cryptonomicon, Zodiac, Snow Crash), Melanie Rawn... i could go on and on. If you have a reccomendation, i'd love to hear it.
