Chromium Blitz

Chromium Blitz originates from Nashville, Tennessee. The band consists of three founding members, Scott Clarke (lead vocals, harmony vocals, lead guitars) who also played all drums and percussion on the CD, Ricardo Galvan (lead vocals, harmony vocals, bass guitar) and Jack Browning (harmony vocals, lead guitars, keyboards). The songwriting shared between Clarke and Galvan is based on factual, real life events and experiences through the years reflective of the appropriate title of their debut CD, Hardtimes. The groups name is a description of the power, passion and intensity it brings to you musically on disc or in a live performance.
The band started playing live under the name, "Madhatter" performing two benefit concerts for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and a benefit for ”Rock for the Animals,” in the Nashville area. Their first demo was recorded and, shortly thereafter, received 31 airplays in 25 days. The group placed second in the 92-Q Budweiser Showdown Tournament of Jams. Later, they took a trip to Panama City Beach, Florida making it into the finals of the Battle of the Bands. After playing live concerts, club dates and getting much recognition for 4 years, the lead vocalist left the band right in the middle of the bands up and coming success, just a month before the band was booked to open up for Judas Priest and Krokus at The Starwood Ampitheater. The founding members later decided, it was time to change the band name and head into the studio to record their debut album, "Hardtimes" with Clarke and Galvan sharing the lead vocal responsibilities. Since, the band has received great reviews on the CD locally, nationally, internationally, in magazines as well as webzines online. Their music is being aired in Nashville, TN, Rochester, NY, Daytona Beach, FL, and in many other states on radio stations, and worldwide on internet radio. Most recently they placed third in the Battle of the Bands in Nashville.
The music of Chromium Blitz is a mixture of colorful styles in the rock genre, channeling together American Hard Rock, Pop and Progressive Rock, British Metal, and a touch of Southern Blues. The group presents two dynamic lead vocalists, displaying broad range between them. Their soaring harmonies will capture you as well as the crunchy guitar riffs, scorching lead solos and thundering bass and drum grooves. A true to the art form power band with that,” in your face” sonic quality that makes them second to none in today’s Hard Rock/Metal category, but gives you the more commercial dimension as well with their ballads and melodic vocal arrangements. It’s a great combination of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and music of today. Chromium Blitz has something that all listeners can enjoy, no matter what age group and style of music is preferred.
