DISNEYS GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT AND SPA

About Me

I opened my doors to guests on June 28, 1988, originally named Disney's Grand Floridian Beach Resort ( I got a name change in 1997). I am designed after early south Florida beach resorts, and the Hotel del Coronado near San Diego, California. I have nearly 900 guest rooms, and I'm classified as a deluxe resort. I am a popular resort for lovers, with six honeymoon suites in my main tower. I have two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, and two jacuzzis. For my guests I offer a deluxe spa, marina, fishing, yacht rental (Grand One), and either piano or orchestra entertainment in the main building. My convention center was built in 1992, and Disney's Wedding Pavillion opened on my south shores in 1995. Diners may indulge in character meals at 1900 Park Fare. All of my restaurants are top notch including Grand Floridian Cafe, Citricos, Narcoossee's, and the most exclusive restaurant on Walt Disney World property, Victoria and Albert's (jackets required for men). For snacks and arcade games, guests enjoy Gasparilla Grill, near the Marina.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to see Flaglers Restaurant (replaced in November, 1997 by Citricos) again. Old friend. The Asian Resort which was supposed to be built where I stand today, looks like I won this round. For more information check this out http://home.cfl.rr.com/omniluxe/asian.htm
