My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My earliest musical memory is of sitting at my dad's feet watching him play and sing. Johnny Cash, I think. Somewhere around age 12 I picked up a pair of drum sticks and never looked back. Music has shaped and altered my world in the best ways possible. I recieved a degree in music in 2005, have taught, have been in too many bands to remember, and have met some amazing people in the course of this journey. From those many years of work and struggle, I've achieved an amazing level of personal satisfaction.Gear: Drums: Pearl Masters Custom Cymbals: Zildjian, as well as Sabian Sticks: Vic Firth 7a wood tip Vocal Mic: ShureMy two biggest influences are John Bonham and Dave Lombardo. Bonham was my first and continues to inspre me to play. Though his recording career was cut short upon his death in 1980, he has left all drummers with a legacy and a lifetime education. Slayer was one of the first metal bands I listened to, and remains my favorite. Dave Lombardo continues to astound me with his abilities and creativity. These two men have been a constant influence on me through my entire life.

Good times

I am ridiculously, insanely (no pun intended), mind-numbingly happy right now. More happy than I have been in a long, long, loooong time. Just thought I should put it out there considering how crazy, ...

In other words...

Well, we're in the thick of summer, and though it hasn't consistently felt like the typical New England face-melter, there's definitely that summer feeling in the air. Lots going on for me lately. Fir...

Searching...open?

And so we begin the spark of ages which saturates our base nature in some clusterfuck era of divine moral bankruptcy and searching enlightenment... So tall is the order of potential, so beset by resis...

Curtain call on the third act of a two-act play: Surrealism of the personal perspective

She's become an idea. The omniscient "other in my one-character play; the presence I speak to off-stage. I seek scripted perfection as outward expression of my inner dialogue. But she demands never-e...

2 entries in two days? Wow, something must be wrong with me. I meant to do this yesterday, but figured I'd written enough for one posting. But this is important for several reasons. You may or may not...
