Lost Dog was conceived in late 2004. Louis Strianese Jr. & myself Louis Sr. began working on original music that Tony Kirkpatrick and I wrote while living in the Memphis area during the 1990's. This is where Lost Dog gets its southern rock sound, but we're not just a southern rock band.
In 1999 I moved my family to Southwest Florida. Tony moved down shortly there after. We started a band, it didn't work out, so he went back to Memphis. Tony let his demons get the best of him. Story is he just walked into the Mississippi River and was never seen again. Hence the name "Lost Dog."
As I said before we're not just a southern rock band. On bass guitar we are proud to showcase the talents of Louis Poulin. He and I wrote our first song on September 11, 2001. Louis Poulin plays and writes in a progressive style that compliments and sometimes defines Lost Dog's music. A.K.A Big Juice!
Around April 2006, I heard about a young guitar player named Derek Bess. Shortly there after we got together and jammed. It was good music and good times, so we still do it. Derek's a great writer, as a matter of fact Lost Dog's new sound is a direct result of Derek Bess' music.
My son Louis Jr. has been subject to my music his entire life. He knows some of my music better than I do. Louis Jr. has been playing drums since 2003. You wouldn't think he's been doing it his whole life, the kid is a natural. He makes my old music, sound new!.
My name is Louis Strianese. I am a singer / songwriter of some 20 years. This has been my story of Lost Dog. Hope you enjoy the show!
