My how time flies. It is hard to believe David and I have been married for twelve years. It has been an incredible journey, and a joy, to be able to walk through life with my best friend.Our 4 kids are growing in leaps and bounds. They are amazing in so many ways and have really all matured and grown in their seperate idenitities this last year. We try to celebrate the talents that make each uniqure, so they will recognize that each strength they have comes from God and is meant to be treasured by all of us and envied by none. They are all smart and between the four of them we have singers, musicians, an artist and an aspiring artist who likes to display her talents on our walls, and one who has wanted to be a missionary since the age of four. He studies his maps to chart his journeys and is convinced that Maine will be his first stop. :)We have had quite a few changes this year. It seems God is growing and stretching us. It makes me wonder what he has in store. I am currently serving with our amazing women's Pastor at Shoreline, Pastor Cheryl Luke. She is a joy and is teaching me much about ministry, leadership, and mentoring. David is currently serving in the men's ministry, helping to develop Small Groups there as well as help plan for growth in other areas. And together we help plan and lead a service once a month at Shoreline East, our church's service for the homeless community in East Austin.This year seems to have brought us to a new level of trusting God and leaning on him instead of our own understanding. Sometimes I think life is like a roller coaster, sometimes up, sometimes seeming to come crashing down, but always upheld by the designer. Nothing is too big for Him, nothing is too insignificant, and he is along every step of the way. Thank you Jesus!Love, Amy O.
