The band "Amnesia" are from a small island north of Scotland called Shetland. Sadly, it is not a place popular for its rock music and, like all the rock/metal bands, they are constantly shoved aside and not taken seriously by the people who they count on such as "The Shetland Art's Trust". Problems are also faced in the isles as it is a placed filled with "close minded" people. But hey, this does not stop them from what they love doing most in life - writing songs and playing music. (well, in other words we just simply dont give a monkeys about the stupid things people say about us! Its easy to sit at home and rag on about bands, its not easy to actually be a musician. Amen)
The group: CG, Timon, Lorna, Stuart and Bassist all have different influences, whether it being Red Hot Chilli Peppers for CG, HIM to "Adam and the Ants" for Lorna, Iron Maiden for Timon and Stuart or Bassist's obsession with Motley Crue, they all seem to pull it together in their music.
Recently they have recorded a demo and are currently doing gigs around Shetland. They are most well known for "The Blah Song" and "Nowhere's safe" (which is strange. The Blah song is our most "popiest" and Nowhere's safe is really heavy!).
Throughout Shetland, they spread one message - Beware all you people who think that folk is the only music for Shetland. Here comes the rock anarchy!
