Manifested out of frustration, Urban Plantation expresses the strength of hip hop’s influence on the myriad of latino communities around the globe. Different by cultures yet united in rhythm. Urban Plantation is a proud representative of the latino common denominator; Hip Hop. Founded by New York’s Lower Eastside artist/producer Erick ‘3D’ Santos, Urban Plantation is a family portrait of hip hop's affect on our latino cultural spectrum. Its members include New Yorkers, Dominicans, Cubans and Puerto Ricans. Recorded entirely in the Dominican Republic Urban Plantation’s new album, Spictacular: Volume loud, brings simple structure to a latin urbano flow. Stories exploring the observations of our Urban Latino life, make for uplifting and sometimes dark reminders of who we are in the world we live in.
