About Me

My first memory is of a conversation i overheard between my brothers about space travel. I was riding a tricycle across the carpet towards the ever-elusive white rabbit.
My first pleasure was caramel. I found an interesting way to wedge it between my upper lip and my teeth.
My first disappointment was learning the newborn bunnies may be eaten by their own. My second disappointment was the realization that older brothers will bury your dolls in the mud face down.
The first shock for me was discovering a hamster could live in the vegetable bin in the fridge for two months, but die of sun stroke shortly thereafter.
Luckily, all these important lessons were learned at an early age.
Then i discovered television. Teevee, the third parent. The first viewing of Casper frightened me nearly to death and insomnia and nightmares soon followed. However, thanks to television it wasn't long before i experienced the exhilaration of love. Romance, ah, there's the rub! My first love was Mike from the Monkees. I liked his hat, muttonchops, his guitar. My next love was music, then raviolis. (Fortunately not much has changed, except maybe the nesmith thing. glad that's over...)It was around this time i became aware of a strange feeling i was experiencing whenever those florescent women and captain kirk would kiss.
The rest is fairly blurred...memory sometimes activated by certain flashes of light or sound which forwards at lighting speed to the present carny-like environment of my life.
Some people can be in your life for minutes or many years, so for any or all of those that left behind something of value for me, spiritually or otherwise, rest assured that i've pawned it ages ago. For this I can be grateful.
Currently I feel more than i think and i think too much. I've learned nothing (is as important as this moment.) And while i'm here i'll admit how blessed i am to have my loving, warm, gregarious and totally fucking amazing creative charming and beautiful people in my inner circle. My cat is wrestling a pigmy under my giant desk. Soon she will smile on the carpet.
