The Birmingham HIP HOP CLASSIC 'I KNOW' was released in December of 1996, selling over 300 copies in one week. The group would come to move a total of 5000 units with the help of additional RLD soldiers who were added to the fold to strengthen the stranglehold on the Birmingham hip hop scene. These entertainers grew up together, lived together, and were family. R&B crooner and bad boy Q. Lee and the Port City Bandit P.A.W. became official RLD in 1997. Soon, additional soldiers would join RLD - Green Jeans and D Live in 1998, and Billy Billions, Frost and Jake Steel in 2000. The final pieces to the puzzle lie in two of Woodlawn's finest emcees - John Woodlawn (2002) and Dogrue (2006).RLD has released several underground classics including Welcome to the Red Light, Vol. 1 (1997), The Session (1998 & 2000), The John Woodlawn Project (2003), Red Light Anthology Mic CD 1 (2003), Red Light Anthology Mix CD 2 (2006)...
