I never thought I would end up living in Texas, let alone Houston, but you'll do some crazy things for love. Orginally being from Albuquerque, I miss the mountains, desert air, and good chile, but Texas isn't so bad once you live there for ten years. Currently I am an environmental consultant, which generally means I get paid to hike around forests and swamps to look at plants; not a bad way to spend a day. When I'm not working, I like to spend time in my ever growing garden (I'm a botanist, I can't help myself) and I love cooking. Rick and I enjoy traveling, going kayaking, playing with our dog Tooley, and hanging out and watching movies.

I like a little of everything, but I am especially fond of Tori Amos, Bowling for Soup, Dave Matthews Band, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon, Sarah McLaughlin, Garbage, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Michael Buble, Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, Patt Green....

Movies:

I love Office Space, Pulp Fiction, O Brother Where Art Thou?, The Blues Brothers, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Napoleon Dynamite, a bunch of others I can't think of right now....

Television:

I'm trying to cut back on TV, but I like watching Dirty Jobs, The Office, Sopranos, The Soup, and cooking shows on the Food network.

Books:
