Last of a Dying Breed has a unique formation that matches their sound perfectly. A quintet of individuals from very different social & musical backgrounds. Writing music and dealing with everyday life can be a challenge for anyone. Last of a Dying Breed uses these challenges to write music fans can relate to and confide in. Full of heartfelt, but sometimes resentful vocals, this band has had personal influence of good and bad to put these words into lyrics. The communiqué this band sends can be taken in many different directions, but they try to give a very direct message though all the trials and tribulations of their lives.
L.O.A.D.B. mixes many different styles and influences into a swarm of melodic harmony in their vocals and even guitar riffs. In combination with drum beats influenced by such bands as Fear Before The March of Flames and even The Beatles, L.O.A.D.B. is considered to fit into an expanding genre of music.
In March of 2006 Last of a Dying Breed’s two founding members Alex Tarbell and Bryan Greene, found a third member named Dominick DeRaimo. Only a month or two later a fourth, and almost final member was added to the lineup, Rob Seaman. After months of practice without a bassist, their first, Noah Rogers completed the lineup. Only after a the few short months of summer and early fall did Noah quit to pursue a different style of music. Another one came along around December of 2006 named Bryan Yourkonis, who only stayed for one show before joining the Air Force and shipping off.
January of 2007 brought great things for Last of a Dying Breed when they finally completed their lineup. Made up of: Alex Tarbell (Vocals), Dominick DeRaimo (Guitar/Vocals), Rob Seaman (Guitar/Vocals), John Baker (Bass Guitar), and Bryan Greene (Drums). After many months full of shows and a small tour, they had to part ways with bassist John Baker in early October and find someone new to become complete. This is when Ryan Poignon was met and began playing with the band. With much devotion and effort, L.O.A.D.B. is always working on new material and finding the perfect mixture of sounds for your enjoyment. 2007 seems to be a breath of change that will, hopefully, let them expand on their musical interests, friends, and experiences. Playing shows whenever possible, L.O.A.D.B. has set many goals and aspirations to be musicians and to entertain the world. Together, these five will travel and share their passion for music and people alike.
