EXCLUSIVE ‘STATIC’ PRINTS AT OPUS UNDERGROUND
Straight off the back of their sell-out limited edition ‘Chinook Chandelier’ screen print, OPUS UNDERGROUND is proud to announce the release of two more exclusive prints from art and design collective Static. Following on from a successful solo show by Bristol artist Mr Jago, OPUS UNDERGROUND have wasted no time in snapping up Static to work with them on producing and promoting their newest print edition.
Already a huge hit with fans and collectors of artists such as Banksy, Eelus and D*Face , all of whom have had print editions sell out in a matter of hours, Static are tipped to follow in their footsteps with their two new screenprints ‘Cuckoo Clock’ and ‘Bi-Plane’ , from signed editions of just 30. In anticipation of their popularity both prints are currently available from OPUS UNDERGROUND at a special price before general release on 2 May. “We’ve already had a massive interest in these prints, far beyond what we expected” commented Opus Underground’s manager Lee Simpson . “We decided to release them early to give people a chance to get their hands on them and we’re extremely pleased with the amount of people who have already snapped them up” Even at such an early stage Static have more that proved that they can deliver the goods. Looking at quality more that quantity their previous print editions have benefited from an outstanding success. “We never really knew how people would react to the prints” recalls Tom from Static “We basically just went with what we liked, and didn’t really put to much thought in trying to sell them out or compete with other more established artists”. “When we saw that the ‘Chinook Chandelier’ print sold out, then they were appearing on eBay, we thought ‘wow people must really like them’” Static’s Craig added. “We’re really pleased to work with Opus Underground on this new range, and to be honest it seemed like a natural progression, we think that they’ll be able to help us reach a wider audience that possibly haven’t had access to our work before”
‘Cuckoo Clock’ and ‘Bi-Plane’ are limited to just 30 and available now at the pre-release price of £65. The prints go on general release as of 2 May, when the price will be increased to £75.
