TRIAD were formed under original name 'Voxel' in October 2005, when Guitarists John & Carl Aspinall met drummer Jonny Miller and Vocalist Sean Wood.
After a while Sean left the band to concentrate on being a drummer. This left just John, Carl and Jonny to work on material together and try and move the band forwards. With Carl assigned Bass and Jonny still on Drums, John took up singing duties temporarily and the music started coming together a lot better than previously.
After just a few weeks they had produced a brand new set of six new songs and got in touch with a promoter, who got them their first gig at 'Head of Steam' in Newcastle.
In early April 2006 the band met singer/songwriter Gary Holmes and after having a jam with him the lads were really pleased, and felt they had finally found what they had been missing. Gary agreed that it had went well and agreed to join the band permanently. Just 3 weeks later Gary performed with TRIAD for the very first time.
Things seemed to be going well for the band when Jonny decided that he wanted to leave. So with no drummer, and with Carl devoting his time to his newborn daughter, Gary and John continued to play a number of acoustic gigs under the name TRIAD.
With Carl now making a return the band have been working on some new material and have a number of gigs in the pipeline. TRIAD will be recording there first album in the very near future.
STOP PRESS: TRIAD are currently on the back burner as Gary and John work on other projects i.e. John joining Garys other band DEAD MILES as lead guitarist. Some of the TRIAD songs you may know will now be performed by DEAD MILES. For more information go to www.myspace.com/deadmiles
