I am here for Friends

About Me

Well, we decided to stay up here for a while longer. We can't take Levi away from his Grandma yet...and Kris is finding work here unexpectedly. So, since we're staying that means I'm going to go ahead and finish the nursing program. I was set on avoiding it and going straight into public health administration, but I can still achieve the same goal with a nursing degree. I'm happy, I can't wait go into OB and Pediatrics next semester. I think I'll find it so much better now that I'm not pregnant anymore. Now we are focusing on trying to buy a house, which is something we couldn't do in San Diego for a long time. I am really happy that I don't have to leave all of my friends and family. Levi is having so much fun getting to know everyone. See you all soon!

My Interests

the river in the summer time, coffee...real, caffeinated coffee, school, healthcare, painting and creativity of any kind, wearing wigs and giant sunglasses (particularly with a certain recently curly haired friend...you know who you are:), little animals (unfortunately...but why are they so cute?), baking, dancing, lying around on a lazy day, road trips, tropical places, daydreaming and wishful thinking....

I'd like to meet:

How about who I'd not like to meet: anyone I don't already know.

Music:

anything but rap...except a few fabulous classics that even I can't resist.

Movies:

waking life, office space, four rooms, the never ending story, weekend at bernies, the little mermaid, anchor man, The last unicorn, labyrinth, the jerk, spaceballs, monster's inc., the princess bride, Reservoir dogs

Television:

ok, this is where I must force myself to be honest. I used to not watch TV and I felt good about it, but secretly in the recent past (with free cable) I have fallen in love with the most ridiculous crap...corny things like Grey's Anatomy and Top Chef, animal planet and the food network, but worst of all...and I cringe as I type this, Flavor of Love (you know, that 50 year old rapper) there's something mesmerizing about the sheer stupidity, I can't help but be totally entertained. I blame it on pregnancy and having way too much time on my hands :)

Books:

Carl Sagan's Billions and Billions (everyone should read this!), the bean trees, the eye the ear and the nose, the red tent, buddah mom, summer sisters, the forest house, spiritual midwifery, the loracs, the firebrand, great expectations, night...I do love some Piers Anthony once in a while, the lives of a cell, the god of small things, the heart of the fire......

Heroes:

SolarONE...superhero in training
