Chad Shirley

I have been playing/writing/composing music for over five years now. I picked up the guitar and started teaching myself how to play at the age of 15. I was always into music growing up, and watched as my brother Lance and many of his friends took the music scene by storm when I was too young to go out. I have a very diverse group of influences on my music from the biggest of artists to local artists that I grew up listening to and watching play in my living room. Taking in all that I had seen and learned from all of this, I began writing songs and started performing as soon as I could. At the age of 18 I decided to start up a band with one of my best friends. The band was pretty successful, but for me it wasn't growing enough musically and there were internal problems with the band that led to its demise after over two years together. And so now here I am. I am 22 and I am now working on my first solo cd. I will get some finished songs up from the upcoming cd as soon as I can. Right now I am in the process of picking the songs that I am gonna finish and release on the cd. So I will get updated songs as soon as possible.
