About Me

From an early age music always seemed to be my main focus, I was always listening... In 6th grade I bought Spice1's album "187 He Wrote" and my life was forever changed. Hip Hop soon became a huge part of my life. A drum kit for a birthday gift on my 12th birthday planted the first seed of actual music performance. From banging out beats to jamming with metal heads, I never turned down an offer to play with anyone. As long as I was making music I was interested. After playing with numerous bands through junior and senior high that never had a true lead singer, I decided to start my own band with the hopes that I would put the sticks down and pic up the mic. I had always been a writer so the switch came naturally.I teamed up with a guitarist in college, and mass produced lyrics to go along with the drum beats I pounded out. After two years of just jamming and stoner ambition, I was still sitting on lyrics with nothing to do with 'em. I was always better at just getting shitty and flowing with my boys. After many friends told me to record my shit, I started downloading sample beats and put some real shit down on paper. After 6 months of MC battle's in the EC area, I made a small name for myself and teamed up with Effit Records and Propalike Productions. I recorded a few tracks with 'em and hopped on their Mixtape. From there I met my boy SOLO, we teamed up and started putting together the endless amounts of songs that we had stored in our minds from over the years...this was the conception of The Rhyme Mynds. In a matter of days we put together enough songs to throw down a decent demo. We were introduced to Prophit of Nightlife Productions, a local Producer/Engineer. SOLO and I spit a verse each and Prophit decided to record us that night. The Rhyme Mynds were born.In the months following the three of us continued to spend time in the Nightlife studio recording and re-recording track after track. Since the birth of The Rhyme Mynds in May of '06, we managed to turn out 17 tracks and put out one of the dopest mixtapes in the EC area. We've been blessed enough to perform and/or work with numerous, well-known, Midwest hip-hop groups and artists including: The CREST, WE ONE, Kanser, Capaciti, Analyrical, Gutta, ECID, Sector 7G, Effit Records, T.Q.D, Mazta I, Dodi Phy, Kritical Kontact, Cannon, M-Balla w/ LC Slack and DJ Delgado. Recently we've slowed down and The Rhyme Mynds have been put on the back burner. Prophit is currently attending The Institute for Production and Recording in Minneapolis MN. And SOLO continues to work with Prophit on occasion, but always stays busy with his family. As for me, I've been busy trying to have a "Real" job. In Jan '07, I started working at a Residential Treatment Center for emotionaly disturbed youths. It's demanding but rewarding...the typical cliche. In Dec of 07 I released my first solo album "The Lonely Road Home" with the help of my man JP. As a solo Artist I've had the chance to work or play with national acts including: Nas, Talib Kweli, AWOL One, DJ Green Lantern, The Crest and DJ Abilities. I've also been blessed with the chance to work with countless local and Midwest hip hop artist such as: Fathom, Romes, Project F.O.M, Breakneck The Mage, Duce Duce Entertainment, Pro Vac, Z-Love, Gutta, LC Slack, M-Balla, Patti B, Fro Fo Sho, Legit Records, Phat Cat Entertainment, and DJ G-Bomb. Currently I'm finishing up recording on my Second Album "Who Will I Be" which is scheduled to be dropped in March of 09!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>>>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>>>>>>>>>& gt;>CHECK OUT THE MC BATTLES AT THE STONES THROW BELOW Championship Round Carver vs. Six-Ninehttp://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.in dividual&videoid=671127794&n=2MC Battle
