Ms. Doña took on most of the responsibilities of the household in turn many of her unseasoned talents suffered. Abuse, foster care and group homes created a heightened sense of survival for Ms. Doña and with this new attitude, she was determined to “serve and protectâ€. Throughout her trials of being homeless, in trouble with the law, her brother’s murder, & miscarriages to name a few; Ms. Doña found refuge within her writings.Since 1999, Ms. Doña has entertained the thoughts of bringing life to her impressive ability of meaningful writing. Ms. Doña’s trademark has always been to “spit with intelligenceâ€- as she would put it.“I’m not about to compete in the rap game. I’m not a rapper! I’m not focused on the things most rappers are but I am meticulous about providing deeper insight to the youth and the challenges we all face- it’s not my fault some may need a dictionary to understand it."Ms. Doña has a plethora of musical influences such as Lena Horne and Billy Holiday from the Renaissance era, spanning throughout time to include R&B and Rock & Roll groups from the ‘60’s & 70’s and many other artists today such as Nas, Lauren Hill, Mary J. Blige, and many more.Now at 27, Ms. Doña has plenty attributes that makes her the most marketable female in the industry. She is a very attractive female however her beauty is surpassed by her remarkable essence of truth. Ms. Doña is from a breed of women we thought were lost and forgotten, that is until now…
