Blackjack and the Longhaulers

About Me

Blackjack and the Longhaulers rest in southwest Virginia, a mighty fine stop on the rail lines. They are brought up in the southern tradition of old time and bluegrass music blended with rock n' roll from their parents' era. The Blackjack boys work in dirty warehouses, job sites, or one of them, not at all. Spending the evenings on front porches or dark, dirty bars, leaves headaches and just enough of a will to live to start again. This gives them the working class ideal that comes through in their tunes. They hold dear their friends, of the hometown, especially the New Roanoke Jug Band, The Young Sinclairs, The Lobsters, and Sean Poff.
