SALUTATIONS! I AM MISTER BEN. ////////////////////////////////// much of my time is spent doing a print zine known as freezerburn: www.myspace.com/freezerburnzine. i am intrigued by a lot of things, many of which are depraved or nihilistic to some.. but seem to leave a positive impact on me, so go figure. "provocation" is the word of the day, ladies and gentlemen, specifically when utilized by music (and additionally by all art/self-expression). by this i don't mean simply "shock value" -- rather limited and easily dismissed, like "deconstruction" or "postmodernism." something has to cut deeper. i go to those local 'underground' concerts 'n have an interest in any individual or band that exists, by natural law, as "extreme": an aversion to "pop culture," or rather, the status quo that folks excuse themselves by. feed your intellect while you can (or doom yourself to mere existence). as a wise soul once said, PAY FUCKING ATTENTION! /////////////////////////////////// a few other randomosities: i'm way too goddamn quiet for my own good. (perhaps the zine makes up for that.) honesty is key; i admire anyone who seeks it. i detest polyamory. commitment is the biggest reward i can think of, be it with friends or a lover (or even in the most casual conversation). i want to listen, absorb, create and move onward. why spend a lifetime out of fear and hesitation avoiding the experiences that enrich your well-being and flex your head? (being the tendency towards mediocrity as a high ideal.) this is why those who passionately ENGAGE are those i count among my closest friends. and so, all in all, all is well. : : : : : : : : : : : : my apologies for all of this seeming really academic, but what the heck. consider this my "Nutrition Facts." plus......if you've read this far, i like you already.
