Mother Found Dead In Apartment Feb 03 2007 7:50PM Columbus police officers who checking on the welfare of a mother Saturday morning said they were met at the door by a man who said: "I killed her. She's in the bedroom." When uniformed officers arrived at 4851 King shill Drive at 10:33 a.m., they found N'Dora Serry-Kamal, 25, lying on the bedroom floor. She appeared to have been stabbed, according to police Columbus Division of Fire paramedics pronounced Serry-Kamal dead at 10:49 a.m. Police officers took George Aruna into custody and arrested him on one count of murder. Aruna, 32, is the person who answered the door and led officers to the woman's body, police said. Relatives were clearly upset at learning of Serry-Kamal's death. "It's horrible because she was a great person," her cousin Olla Thomas told 10TV. "She always stuck up for the people she loved. That was my cousin, and she is really going to be missed.” Thomas said her cousin had a one-month-old child fathered by Aruna. Her death was the fifth homicide reported in Columbus for 2007.
