YAMAS

YAMAS is a hardtechno concept, born in Copenhagen 2005 by DJ J'espre & DJ -mo-. The music is based on techno in 150-160 bpm with hard pumpin' beats and highly percussive and repetative elements, with dynamic breaking rythmes and minimal melodies, that at the same time gives one a feeling of fierce deep wierd machinery. The style is meant for the "peak hours" on the dancefloor and will lift up any electronic party to a higher level. The essential fundament in YAMAS is to give the clubs and the people a hardtechno alternative to all the chillout & house at the clubs today. - - - - - - - - DJ J'espre: Born 31/08-81. Have always had great interest of playing instruments and listen to and study all kinds of music from hiphop to hardcore straight edge metal and Indian classical music (ICM). Started in early age to play in different hardcore metal bands. His first contact with producing electronic music started with making hiphop beats for friends. Out of nothing all interest of western music died in a long period and a deep passion of the Indian 21 stringed instrument the sitar resulted in 4 years of intensive study, of the instrument and the music. At the same time some ambient downtempo chillout with indian elements got produced. Later on he started experimenting with some techno, but really never catched the essentials of producing techno. After being homeless for a month and desperate for finding a place to live, he rented a room in DJ mos appartment/studio, where they teamed up and YAMAS was born. - - - - - - - -DJ -mo- Born 29/12-76. Since the age of 10 he started dreaming about making electronic music. In 1996 he bought his first hardware equipment like a sampler and an Atari. The style he was experimenting with was basic techno. Later he had a little influence in a crew who was organizing techno raves with DJ's like Rush, Alter ego etc. In the year 2000 he bought a PC and since then, most of his music was software based. In 2003 he started to organize techno partys with his own crew "Danfoque" where he was playing as a DJ. As a contrast to the hard beats he started to specialize in making ambient soundscapes. His main passion have always been for the harder techno. In some years he was looking for a partner to join the process of making a harder kind of techno.
