The Kraftsmen

About Me

Collectively Basement Sounds consists of 6 main members. The Kraftsmen 3 rappers (Frantic Frank, Manic Mad Nick & Prodigal Son) began rapping together in the beginning of 2002 and basically started the group. The producers Limited addiction, Rebz and Conscience who added to the groups overall sound with their artistic and technical input within the production area. All members spent the majority of their adolescence growing up in South London, Brixton, and since linking together have formed a unique rapport, which reflects in their sound. To date, they have three compilations of music which they have independently released, produced, manufactured and distributed across London and to various locations in the U.K. Namely, Frantic Frank and da Kraftsmen which was the first CD which they attacked the streets with. This Features Frantic displaying his refreshing skills alongside a number of MCs of his choice and a couple of Kraftsmen tracks. Due to its localised success, they couldnt help but follow it up by releasing material they had produced prior to Frantics promo release, (Volume 1). This was later followed with the release of Freedom of Speech their current project. The main goals of the group are not money orientated, but lay within the success of achieving a vast and wide audience whom appreciate their music as it is created. So if you were wondering, this is why they are yet to be signed to any label. As we speak, a lot of hard work is being put into promoting the music, name and ideas that are aligned with the Basement Sounds family (e.g website, email and bulk sms with the use of mailing lists, plus posters, P.As internet and F.M radio airplay) and there is a general hype being created whenever they release any new material.
