About Me
FFLHELLO my name forrest gump, I live in about a quarter mile of Route 17, about a half mile from the town of Greenbow, Alabama. That's in the county of Greenbow. Our house has been in Momma's family since her grandpa's grandpa's grandpa had come across the ocean about a thousand years ago. Something like that. Now, when I was a baby, Momma named me after the great Civil War hero, General Nathan Bedford Forrest.She said we was related to him in some way. And, what he did was, he started up this club called the Ku Klux Klan. They'd all dress up in their robes and their bedsheets and act like a bunch of ghosts or spooks or something. They'd even put bedsheets on their horses and ride around. And anyway, that's how I got my name. Forrest Gump. On the bus to school no one would let me sit with them until i heard the sweetiest voice... in the whole wide world. She said "You can sit here if you want to" I had never seen anything so beautiful in my life. She was like an angel. So i sat down and she began to talk to me, "What's wrong with your legs?" i said "Um, nothing at all, thank you. My legs are just fine and dandy." and then she said her name was Jenny. Now nobody ever talked to me. But from that day on, we was always together. Jenny and me was like peas and carrots. I go to to college were i play a lot of football, after that i joined the army where i meet my bested good friend bubba , me and bubb a were going to start a shrimp buisness but he past away in the war , so i went to the shrimp buisness with out him instead i went with LT.Dang , with end up being the bubba gump shrimp Corporation ,We've got more money than Davy Crocket. Then after that i went to see my mamma cause she was sick, then she died a couple of days later,she had the cancer. Jenny came back and stayed with me. Maybe it was because she had nowhere else to go. Or maybe it was because she was so tired, because she went to bed and slept and slept like she hadn't slept in years. It was wonderful having her home. Me and her was like peas and carrots again. One day i said "Will you marry me? I'd make a good husband, Jenny." and she said: you dont wanna marry me forrest" the next day she was gone. That day, for no particular reason, I decided to go for a little run. So I ran to the end of the road, and when I got there, I thought maybe I'd run to the end of town. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd just run across Greenbow County. And I figured since I run this far, maybe I'd just run across the great state of Alabama. And that's what I did I ran clear across Alabama. For no particular reason, I just kept on going. I ran clear to the ocean. And when I got there, I figured since I'd gone this far, I might as well turn around, just keep on going. When I got to another ocean, I figured since I've gone this far, I might as well just turn back, keep right on going. When I got tired, I slept. When I got hungry, I ate. When I had to go, you know, I went. My Momma always said you got to put the past behind you before you can move on. And I think that's what my running was all about. I had run for three years, two months, fourteen days, and sixteen hours. After my runnin days were over, i got a letter in the mail from Jenny, it was a letter telling me to come visit her. so i did and met her son, who was my son too, named little forrest. Jenny had told me she was sick so i had her and little Forrest come and stay with me. me and jenny got married. Jenny got sick and died on a Saturday. now my momma always said that dying was a part of life, but i sure do miss her. So now its just me a little Forrest. Hes so smart, we fish alot and im teaching him how to play ping pong. Well thats all i have to say about that.
