VIVA LOS BEEFALOS!
They're the ass-kicking, money-maker-shaking love child of old, new, borrowed, and blue - a long-awaited tribute to those lost years when Elvis sang Hank Williams tunes with Black Sabbath while Duke and Satchmo called out the changes. They've come to call it COUNTRIFUNKED JAZZABILLY, but in reality it's just where rock and roll would've been if it hadn't wasted so much time on hairspray and mascara - solid musicianship with plenty of twang, soul, authenticity, and a damned good beat.
Grown out of the hinters of Northeastern Pennsyltucky, THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE's current personnel consists of the four Beefalo Brothers, Chip (guitar, bass fiddle, and banjo), Chet (guitar, bass fiddle, ebonies and ivories), Chuck (drums and percussives), and Jorgé (guitar, bass fiddle, and singin'). Originally brought together by their love of good music under the tutelage of their mentor, the elusive Father Pépe, the Brothers struck out on their own circa 1997 and soon found themselves to be a refreshing fixture in the blossoming music scene in Pennsyltucky's Lehigh Valley. Over the past few years, these four handsome fellows have also thrown themselves into the Greater New York Metropolitan music scene, swapping instruments in front of audiences at such venues as Kenny's Castaways, The C-Note, Hank's Saloon, Meow Mix, Le Bar Bat, The Pussycat Lounge, Arlene Grocery, CB's Gallery, The Lizard Lounge, Otto's Shrunken Head, and Makor, as well as a bevy of northeastern universities. They've borrowed the souls of some of rock and roll's greatest founding members, and the result amazes everyone who sees them.
On April the 22nd, 2005, THE UNPRONOUNCEABLE celebrated the completion of their 2nd full-length recorded release (3rd official and 8th for website fans and diehards). The new album, entitled VIVA LOS BEEFALOS!, was produced by dear old friend Tim Fite and engineered by longtime Beefalo compatriot Rob Badenoch. It promises fans new and old a reliably spirited update on the band's musical development since the release of their EP, Elementary Physics, in 2002.
