Welcome to Invicta Records, an independent record label based in Denver, Colorado USA with an international reach. Denver has long been known as a home to nationally recognized recording artists such as Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Tommy Bolin, Judy Collins, John Denver, Firefall, Dan Fogelberg, Richie Furay, India, Arie, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sugarloaf, and Otis Taylor, and continues to support a vibrant live music scene, including the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater where many national and international artists have played and recorded.
Artists in the Invicta Records family represent a very diverse range of music, and each has established and maintains a strong local following. Their music ranges from folk to heavy metal, and includes Americana, classic rock, and modern & pop rock.
Making a record represents a serious investment in time and money, and there are several key elements that are required for success. With the assistance of Invicta’s producers, Invicta’s artists make records with sounds that are big, fat, ambient, resonant, warm, taut, smooth, and full of impact, with plenty of depth, punch, sparkle, brilliance, focus, clarity, sense of air, and detail, all with a “live†feel. When the sound is just right, more records are played and sold, which is a requirement particularly in the demanding environment of today’s music business.
Invicta Records is committed to supporting our artists through our label’s substantial promotional efforts. Capitalizing on its numerous relationships in the music industry, Invicta aggressively promotes its artists and recordings to obtain favorable press reviews, local gigs and regional tours, radio airplay, and CD sales, all with the goal to establish a platform to break out the artist on a regional, national, and international level.
Due to its understandably high standards, Invicta selects only a limited number of artists each year to be signed to the label, and only selects the artists it believes have the best opportunity for regional, national, and international break out. With low overhead, a "lean and mean" specific artist focus, coupled with senior level relationships in the music industry that we have cultivated over many years with most of the major players in the business, Invicta Records offers an extremely competitive market advantage to the up and coming artist.

Have a close look at the first few seconds of this video--that's me--3rd person from the left. This photo was taken during the summer of '74 during a break from college. How it got on this YouTube video is anyone's guess.
