About Me

This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!
Hi! I'm Helen! Thanks for visiting :o) I'm a pretty laid back, easygoing kinda gal. I love all the usual things like listening to music, watching films, reading, playing & watching sports, travelling etc etc.
I recently emigrated from England to Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada with my wonderful boyfriend Ben. We're enjoying it so much in our new home town and have been welcomed by many genuine, friendly people. We're keeping a blog to update everyone on what we're doing. You can visit it at: http://benandhelen.wordpress.com

I'm Bridge Over Troubled Water!
Which Simon and Garfunkel album are you?

Gacela of the Dark Death ~ Federico Garcia Lorca

I want to sleep the dream of the apples,
to withdraw from the tumult of cemeteries.
I want to sleep the dream of that child
who wanted to cut his heart on the high seas.

I don't want to hear again that the dead lose no blood,
that the putrid mouth goes on asking for water.
I don't want to learn of the tortures of the grass,
nor of the moon with a serpent's mouth
that labours before dawn.

I want to sleep just a moment,
a moment, a minute, a century.
But let it be known that I have not died,
that there is a stable of gold in my lips,
that I am the West Wind's little friend,
that I am the enormous shadow of my tears.

Cover me at dawn with a veil
because she will throw fistfuls of ants at me,
sprinkle my shoes with hard water
so that the pincers of the scorpion slide.

For I want to sleep the dream of the apples,
to learn a lament that will cleanse me of the earth;
for I want to live with that dark child
who wanted to cut his heart on the high seas.

Mario Kart Love Song - Sam Hart
