I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I live out in the country with my mother and daughter, several cats, assorted dogs, and a parrot that cusses. We get along by giving other lots of space! When I am not working I am usually out in the pasture mowing, or otherwise working around this house that my parents built but didn't finish. I am usually optimistic. I love to play and make people laugh. I love the outdoors, wild places, sky watching, animals, and kids. I love sports, playing, not watching, even if I suck royally at them. I love old places and old people, because I love their stories. I like people who are open and honest and eccentric and opinionated and cranky, and who don't take themselves too seriously I created my layout at KillerKiwi.net

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would very much like to meet Eddie Izzard, bludgeon him senseless, and steal his fabulous clothes.

Say It Ain't So, Bill

David Carradine was found dead in his Bankok hotel room early this morning.  His TV series, Kung Fu, was primarily responsible for my getting into martial arts at age 10.  Bruce Lee was very cool, but...

Time Out

I have been hunting for a better job since last September, when I got this one.  I was making nearly $17 an hour for Saint Gobain, and since I am a workaholic that LIVES for overtime, I was bringing h...

Songs From High School

I went to high school in Hobbs, New Mexico, from 1977 to 1980.  It was a small oilfield town where the big thing to do of a weekend was drag Broadway.  I didn't have a TV in my room, the PC didn't exi...

Call Me

Have you ever noticed how many songs have been written about the telephone?  I'm guessing this is because of the universal angst of waiting for someone to call.  I didn't do a great deal of waiting by...

Dammit, Jim!

The girlchild and I just returned from the new Star Trek movie.  It rocks.  It gave several nods to the original series, with the characters using their trademark lines at appropriate times.  I grew u...

April Showers Bring...

Grass.  Lots of grass.  20 acres of it.  If you listen, you can hear it growing.  Things around here are usually brown, but during the spring rainy season, this part of Texas rivals the Emerald Isle f...

Meet My Little Friends..

It strikes me that cats and Mafioso have a lot in common. They both have ulterior motives.  They don't make nice without expecting a payoff of some kind. They're both deadly, no matter how cute and cudd...
