Influences: First and foremost Jehovah God, without him I would have no talent. Next my parents for instilling in me the values and keeping me grounded when my head would get too big when I was a child performer. This keeps me humble...not shy but confident in knowing that this is a gift and to use it properly. My dad "Tony McKAy or as some of you know him "Exuma the Obeahman"...People often talk about the energy I have on stage! IF you have ever had the privilege to see one of his shows while he was alive, then you would know without a doubt, that all that energy comes from him! lol. My mother "Inita Wakins Mackey" between her sense of expression through dance and art, I learned how to express myself through music and love. She held a high standard of ethics while being one of the coolest people around. My business sense and aptitude come from both my parents and family line. So if I come off professional or "Hollywood" lol as my previous indy label mates loved to call me, then roll out the red carpet. After all its called the Music "Business". Hum... other influences..instructors of mine from back when I was young who pulled no punches like...My mom and dad, Lorraine Alfaro, Ellis Marcellis, Bert Braud, Michelle Charbonnet, Jim Tobin, MRs. Wilmore... The people and record executives who had would tell me stuff like...lose some weight...after listening to my music up at major labels for like an hour, then saying "your look doesn't match your music" or we can't figure out how to categorize you or nobody is doing that right now and then a year later, someone comes out with the style that I brought to the table lol. It made me stronger and pushed me to create my own situations, make my own way. Inspiration and motivation is when you feel moved to do something..Guess I've been inspired my whole life. For those of you reading this....remember you are limited by only your own mind. NO ONE can limit your potential and kinetic energy, only you do that. Musical influences: A whole...lot, because I sing in so many styles, I am influenced by so many artist in all genres from Rhythm to Reggae, Classical, Pop, Hindi, African, Thai, I mean its endless....So if you need a lead singer, Call me! If you need a background vocalist who can harmonize and arrange parts...Call me! If you need a songwriter who has equipment to write to your tracks and send it back to you....Call me! If you need a front vocalist who can rip the mike and work the crowd or soothe the crowd...Call me! If you need a band for your next event who can play everything well, and make sure your guest have a good time...Call me! If you need a band or vocalist who can travel internationally....Call me!!! If you want to buy a sweet potato pie or apple pie from my Bahama Mama Kitchen....Call me!!! If you have any questions or want to take vocal lessons online or in person from me....Call Me!!!
