I am here for Dating and Serious Relationships

About Me

Romance is about surprises. Surprises like buying the antique lamp that your lover had her eye on, then passing by the antique store to see that it has been sold only to return home to present it in the living room. Surprises like planning a surprise party despite the fact that the surprise party was requested. And surprises like unannounced nighttime visits.Romance is about fun. Fun like skinny dipping. Fun like ferry rides just there and back. And fun like European travel both with and without a detailed itinerary.Romance is about taking chances. Chances like (in the words of Mark Twain) dancing as if nobody's looking. Chances like deciding to introduce your lover to your parents (or your kids) because you've decided that you don't care what they think. And chances like dating someone who is just separated. (Take a chance and Surprise me. It'll be fun.)(DB Guy could refer to Duplicate Bridge or Database, my work.)Disclaimers: The photo of me is from 2004. To reduce the chance of identity theft, I have changed my birthday by a few days. (I'm still a Leo, if that is important!) I am separated, not yet divorced.I have two children, ages 16 and 13 from my first marriage. They live with me approximately half of the time. I would happily consider starting another family.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Someone ready to start a family or someone who has sent their children off into the world and is ready to enjoy a relationship.
People I would like to have met Mark Twain -- "Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth."Richard Feynman -- "Physics is like sex: sure, it may give some practical results, but that's not why we do it." "It is in the admission of ignorance and the admission of uncertainty that there is a hope for the continuous motion of human beings in some direction that doesn't get confined, permanently blocked, as it has so many times before in various periods in the history of man." Albert Einstein -- "The grand aim of all science is to cover the greatest number of empirical facts by logical deduction from the smallest number of hypotheses or axioms." "A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."
