Cynthia, you were my mirror, shining back at me with a world of possibilities. You were my witness, who saw me at my best, at my worst, and loved me anyway. You were my partner in crime, nothing could go wrong when we were by each others side.. nothing could get in our way, together.... we could make the Heavens sway. You were my life companion, someone who knew when I was smiling, even in the dark. In many ways you were my teacher, who taught me lessons of life with merely your actions. You were my defense attorney, my executive assistant, even my Therapist. Cynthia, I finally know now that...... You are the Reason!
You are the reason I was never alone in this world. As I think back, you were the reason I wanted to become a better son to our Mother, open up to our Father, be a better friend to our loved one's, be a better person to this world of ours and MOST importantly.....A better brother to YOU, my baby sister! ......Now that you are gone you will continue to be my reason....The Sun in my sky pushing my clouds aside, the Moon watching and protecting my stars. You will be my reason for waking up everyday, my reason for being strong, my reason for moving on. My reason for becoming the Man you knew I should be all along, and most of all ... YOU WILL BE MY REASON FOR LIVING!
There's nothing I can do to bring you back to me and this fact continues to destroy me from the inside out, ..I MISS YOU SO MUCH CYNTHIA. As I look up into the heavens and my tears begin to fall I declare out loud..
