About Me

Hello world. Well, well. this is something I thought that I'd never do. Have my own personal web space. Never figured I'd have the time, nor the inclination. However the ease at which you can make one using all these MySpace tools has solved the time issue. That alone helped me with my inclination. I just kinda figured why not? So here is my hello to the world. My moniker is Jingai, it is Japanese. It means foreigner... sort of. The Japanese word for foreigner is Gaijiin. It is spelled using the kanji for outside "Gai" and person "Jin". So Jingai is Gainjin spelled backwards. It still means foreigner, it's just Japanese slang. I am American, so why the Japanese moniker. Well to put it short I have a love affair with Japan. I love the culture, the language, the history, the food, the pop culture.... just about everything. Why a moniker? Because I love the anonimity of the internet. Besides, if you know who I am then, well you know who I am ( Hi friend! ) and if you don't, drop me a line. Get to know me. So here is a bit about me. I'm 27, Taurus and year of the Goat. I'm an artist whose prefered medium is drawing and photography. I write a bit of prose and poetry every now and then. I like winter, night time, and rain. The heavier the rain the better. But I don't like rain during cold weather. I prefer a nice spring or summer rain storm. I like the ocean, mountains, lakes, rivers, snow, and gentle breezes on a spring day. My favorite color is blue and my favorite classical piece of music is Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata". I like both cats and dogs, not favoring one over the other, both are wonderful companions. I enjoy good film, good theater, and good times spent with good friends. I hate slugs. They are disgusting. I salt them whenever they darken my door step. Extremist of any kind, I really dislike them too, especially the militant variety. I also dislike hot summer days, sweet iced tea and meatloaf. I dislike cigarettes and cigarette smoke. In short I like alot and try to dislike very little. I strive to keep an open mind and open heart. In closing, this is a bit of me posted out in the void of the web for all to see. To all my friends and future friends, Peace be with you.
